The short version.
We sell education. We are not a broker-dealer, an investment adviser, or a financial planner, and we never handle your money. Your membership renews monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel yourself online at any time. If you want a refund, ask and you will get one.
The full terms are below and they govern your use of the site.
1. Who we are, and what you are agreeing to
theinvestorsjourney.com is operated by Stock Market Edu, a Florida corporation (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms are a binding agreement between you and us covering your use of this site, our courses, lessons, commentary, live sessions, coaching, and the research tools provided with membership at IncomeTrader.com, which we also operate (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account, starting a trial, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy, and our Disclosures. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Education, not advice
This is the most important section here. Everything we publish is general educational content. We are not registered as a broker-dealer, investment adviser, commodity trading advisor, or financial planner with the SEC, FINRA, the CFTC, or any state regulator. We do not give personalised investment advice, we do not make recommendations, and we never touch your money or your account.
Investing involves risk, including the total loss of the money you invest. Options carry additional risk and are not suitable for everyone. The full detail is on our disclosures page, which forms part of these Terms.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. The Service is intended for users in the United States; we make no representation that it is appropriate elsewhere, and you are responsible for the laws that apply to you.
4. Your account
- Your account is for you alone. Do not share your login.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password secure.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it.
- Keep your email address current — we use it for billing and renewal notices.
- We may suspend accounts that appear to be shared, resold, or used to scrape content.
5. Membership, trial and billing
New members may start with an introductory period of 14 days for $0.99. That amount is charged at signup and is not a deposit or a hold.
Your membership renews automatically. When the introductory period ends, membership continues at $24.99 per month and your payment method is charged each month on that date until you cancel. There is no contract and no minimum term — but the charge recurs until you stop it.
We email you a reminder before the introductory period ends. You can cancel at any time, including during the trial, and you can do it yourself online.
Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any sales tax we are required to add. We may change prices, but we will email you before a new price applies to your account, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
You authorise us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for these amounts. If a charge fails we may retry it and may suspend access until payment succeeds.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel yourself, online, at any time. Sign in and cancel from your account settings. It takes effect immediately for future billing — you will not be charged again.
If you would rather we did it, email support@theinvestorsjourney.com, call 239-823-5070 during business hours, or use our contact form. We will never require you to phone us in order to cancel.
Unless you also request a refund under our Refund Policy, cancelling stops future charges rather than reversing past ones, and your access continues through the period you have already paid for.
7. Refunds
Our practice is deliberately generous and it is set out in full on our Refund Policy page, which forms part of these Terms. In short: if you are not happy, ask, and we will refund you — with one narrow exception described there.
8. Our content, and your licence to use it
All lessons, courses, videos, articles, commentary, spreadsheets, calculators, screeners and graphics in the Service are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright.
While your membership is active we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the content for your own education. You may print or download material for personal use.
You may not:
- copy, republish, post, stream or redistribute our content, in whole or in part;
- sell, licence, sublicence or share access to the Service;
- use our content to build, teach or market a competing course or service;
- use our content or tool output to train a machine learning or AI model;
- remove or obscure any copyright, trademark or attribution notice.
“The Investor's Journey”, “IncomeTrader” and our other product names are our trademarks. These Terms do not give you the right to use them.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl or use automated tools to extract data from the Service;
- attempt to access any part of the Service, or another member’s account, without authorisation;
- interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service;
- reverse engineer our tools;
- harass other members or instructors, or post unlawful or misleading content in any comment, chat or session;
- use the Service to give investment advice to others, solicit clients, or hold yourself out as affiliated with us;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
10. Market data and third parties
The Service displays market data supplied by third parties. It may be delayed, incomplete or wrong, and prices shown are not executable quotes. Verify any figure independently before acting on it. We are not liable for errors, omissions or delays in third-party data, or for decisions you make based on it. We also link to third-party sites we do not control and are not responsible for.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, that data will be accurate, or that it will produce any result.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, trading losses, investment losses, lost data or lost goodwill arising from the Service — even if we were told such damages were possible.
- We are not liable for any investment decision you make or any loss in your brokerage or retirement account. Those decisions are yours.
- Our total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stock Market Edu and its officers, employees, instructors and contractors from any claim, loss, liability or expense, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your investment decisions.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top and, for changes affecting your rights or billing, email you. Changes apply going forward. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
We may also add, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue something material to your membership you may cancel and request a pro-rated refund.
15. Termination by us
We may suspend or close your account if you breach these Terms, if your payment method fails and is not corrected, if you share or resell access, or if we reasonably believe your use creates legal risk for us or other members. Where circumstances allow we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right. If we close your account without cause we will refund the unused part of your current billing period.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
Before filing anything, please contact us. Nearly every dispute we have had was a misunderstanding that a phone call fixed, and we would much rather fix it.
If any provision is found unenforceable the rest remains in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Disclosures, are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service.
